Welcome to ACTIVATED ASANA Yoga

 

'Activated Asana' is a 'Skillful Movement Practice' that blends modern movement science with traditional yoga. Using a system called “organization & activation,” we aim to optimize healthy movement mechanics and cultivate skillful movement with the long-term goal of High-Performance Aging. These classes are accessible to all, meeting your body where it’s at, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned practitioner.

In these classes you will learn to:

FOUNDATIONS YOGA

for Beginners

 

I am excited to introduce this NEW yoga class, FOUNDATIONS ~ designed specifically for beginners every Tuesday at 9:30 am

If you are new to yoga, or getting back into practicing, FOUNDATIONS Yoga is for you. In this class, your overall well-being through a mindful blend of stability, joint health, posture alignment, and gentle movement is the priority. Here you will find a harmonious fusion of ancient yoga wisdom and modern movement science to help you achieve a balanced, strong and vibrant body.

Focusing on enhancing stability, building strength and increasing mobility, this unique style of slow, mindful yoga assists in injury protection and healing, helps manage pain, stress and anxiety, and strengthens body systems. Based on up-to-date modern movement science principles, “Activated Asana” helps to set us on the path towards High-Performance Aging.

  • WHEN: Tuesdays –– ongoing
  • TIME: 9:30 - 11:00
  • PRICE: 10x block €180, 5x Block €100, or Drop-In -> €25
  • For all First-Timers: come 2x's for the price of one drop-in -> €25
  • LOCATION: Neues Tanzen, Josef-Jägerhuber 7, Starnberg  

COME PREPARED FOR CLASS

  • Bring your own mat, strap, and blanket if you have one OR you can use the mats from the studio although there is a limited supply.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to give yourself time to check in, change, relax and set up your practice space
  • Inform me via email or  before class about any injuries, health concerns or pregnancy that I should know about to help make your experience perfect
  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water before, during and after class
  • Bring a water bottle, warm socks and a sweatshirt for relaxation (savasana)
  • Please refrain from wearing fragrances
  • Refrain from eating anything heavy at least 2 hours before class.

Dynamic Slow Flow

I continue to offer my regular 'ACTIVATED ASANA Dynamic Slow Flow' yoga class for seasoned practitioners every Friday at 9:30 am

While both classes share the same principles, FOUNDATIONS is slower-paced, focusing more on drills and exploring movement, making it accessible to beginners or those refining their practice. The Friday class is more dynamic and faster-paced, ideal for experienced practitioners looking to challenge themselves further.

Join me every Friday in person for this dynamic slow-flow “Activated Asana” yoga class.

This “skillful movement practice” gives students a template to maximize their yoga practice and build a resilient, “injury-proof” body that lasts a lifetime. If you are new to yoga, it is recommended to start with Foundations Activated Asana (on Tuesdays), as this class can be somewhat dynamic if you are not conditioned.
